According to her biography, Kelly Clarkson was magnetized to singing after a visit to an African-American church in Fort Worth, Texas when she was only 8 years old. She later joined her high school choir upon the encouragement of a music teacher who had heard her singing in the hallway and in 2002 became known as the sassy rocker chick who won the first season of the now famous reality television singing competition “American Idol”. But that is not all there is to this highly talented solo artist; she is also humble enough to acknowledge that behind her successful career, God is there looking over her.
