Well one thing is for sure: Nicole Richie loves her Chanel and religious bracelets! In this photo we see It girl Nicole wearing a red strapless dress that is cinched around the waist with a thick gold belt, dainty gold sandals, gold quilted Chanel clutch, and of course her religious bracelet. She is also sporting a lovely long bob hair and a huge smile on her face obviously laughing at something, could it possibly be a victorious kind of laugh for having blocked the woman behind her, hence totally owning the shot? It could be.
If you look closer, you will notice that Nicole Richie is actually wearing a Hamsa bracelet; the Hamsa is regarded as a Middle Eastern symbol and is believed to grant the wearer protection from the evil eye and also bestows positive energy, happiness, and health. As a famous celebrity often caught under the critical eye of the public, it’s no wonder Nicole Richie seems to never part with her Hamsa bracelet.
Some people may be horrified at how religious items are being made into fashion accessories, thinking that such act is disrespectful, but different strokes for different folks. Celebrities especially would not blatantly cause disrespect, most of all to anyone’s religion and besides, some of these celebrities have their own meaningful purpose as to why they wear religious accessories.
